Bolsa Amarela
Educational Support App for Elementary Teachers
Yellow Bag (Bolsa Amarela) is a mobile application developed to support elementary school teachers by providing curated didactic content and materials. The goal is to facilitate lesson planning and teaching strategies through an organized and intuitive digital platform. This project was developed during the UX/UI Design course at Coderhouse.
The Problem
Teachers often face challenges in accessing quality, ready-to-use teaching materials. Many existing tools are either too complex, outdated, or not aligned with pedagogical goals. There was a need for a centralized, user-friendly app to support teachers in their daily practice.

The Solution
The proposed solution is a mobile app that organizes and delivers teaching materials in a structured and accessible way. The design focuses on clarity, simplicity, and usability — helping educators find, save, and use content efficiently.

Content Library: Categorized resources by subject and school year.

Favorites & Collections: Save preferred materials and create custom folders.

Collaborative Space (future implementation): Share resources and experiences with other educators.

This project followed a user-centered design approach, moving through the following stages:

Research and Discovery

Conducted user interviews with elementary school teachers to identify main pain points.

Mapped key insights, such as lack of time for planning and difficulty accessing organized, relevant content.
Definition and Ideation

Created personas and user journey maps to define core user needs.

Sketched low-fidelity wireframes to explore layout and navigation solutions.
Prototyping and UI Design​

Developed mid- and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma.

Defined a bright and positive color palette to reflect the educational and supportive nature of the app.

Designed a minimalist interface with large touch targets and clear icons to ensure usability.
Usability Testing
